This piece is a bridge that I have previously used but it is also at a different view. I knew I wanted to do this in pen and ink because I'd be able to inflict my simplistic style on it and capture the various things without having the piece be cluttered. I first drew the main lines of the bridge and added the trees, plants, rocks, and water around it. Then I added an ink wash to define the actual ground and added it to the two roof tops. I love this piece because it is very light and not overbearing to the eye. However I did incorporate a few thick lines but not too many. This piece was very easy to create because I am now realizing what my style is and what I work best with.
