I took AP art this year, which was a two semester long class. It also required 12 breadth pieces and 12 concentration pieces. A breadth are random pieces that show your growth and skill with different mediums and a concentration are pieces that are made up around a central idea. My favorite time in this class was second semester because that was when we were able to do our concentration pieces, I was able to create pieces that I wanted without any restrictions. Over the period of the year I was able to grow with Pen and Ink, which is now my favorite medium. I was also able to finally do an oil painting for the first time, which is now my second favorite medium. I did enjoy this class but it would've been better without such a large time crunch. I am happy I took this class because I met new people and used new mediums, hopefully that benefits me in the future.
This is a slide show of my portfolio that shows all of my pieces. It starts out with 12 breadths, with are pieces that show your skill with mediums and your growth. Pieces that are in my breadth are ones I have done throughout my entire art career. The last 12 pieces in the slide show are my concentration pieces. My concentration is my hometown, Boardman, Ohio area. All of my pieces are places I found enjoyable as a kid, liked the look of places, or just stumbled upon.
