Our final product is supposed to have a variety of necks with a scenic background. Each head represents one person in the group and is supposed to look silly. This piece is random but interesting and funny.
The problem that I had for this piece was using a medium that I was unfamiliar with. That medium was melted crayons. I figured out how to melt them which was using the tip of a hot glue gun. I overcame this obstacle by practicing with this medium several times. I developed my art making skills by becoming comfortable with an entirely new medium. I was already comfortable with crayons but not melted crayons. I learned a new use for a common used medium. We were given an objective of drawing something smooth. I decided to draw an Axolotl which is a salamander that is incredibly smooth. I drew an Axolotl because it seemed like a good idea and was out of the box. |
